In 2005 six artists teamed up to found a producer’s gallery in the artist residence Schloss Plüschow to open new possibilities for art und create new artistic impulses in the state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. From there they democratically created together with the art dealer Peter Kreissl external exposition projects such as the Art Sail in Rostock or East Germany goes Baltimore in the USA.
In 2008, the Galerie AG moved into their own exhibition rooms at the Schwerin Ziegenmarkt where their show apart from their own works also exhibitions of guests. Thus, the now seven artists have the opportunity to actively shape cultural life of the capital of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Since Mai 2011, the art historian Claudia Schönfeld is the curator of the Galerie AG.
